The (US)² – Ultrasound and Signal group at the Université de Sherbrooke (Quebec, CANADA), led by Profs. Nicolas Quaegebeur and Patrice Masson, develops ultrasound-based methods, instruments, and technologies for imaging, measurement, and intervention. Our work lies at the interface of acoustics, signal processing, multiphysics modeling, embedded electronics, and biomedical and industrial applications.Our goal is to make ultrasound systems more accurate, more robust, and more accessible. We work on probes and transducers, as well as reconstruction algorithms, measurement platforms, and portable systems. This integrated approach makes it possible to design hardware and software components as a single system, rather than developing them separately.
